What data do we collect?

  • Basic Information - When using this website, you will be asked to enter your name, nickname, email and password. It's important to note that we store your password encrypted, but the rest of your account information is stored unencrypted. We use email to ensure that you are a real person. You can also add a profile photo, cover photo, and bio.
  • Posts, messages and more - All information is processed and stored on the server. When you submit any content, the date and time are saved with a record. Posts are public information. Messages are processed and sent to the server in encrypted form. Messages may include media attachments, namely images. Messages can only be seen by those you sent the message to.
  • IP addresses and other metadata - When you log into your account, we may record the IP address from which you logged in and the name of your web browser. We may also store server logs, which include the IP address of each request to the server.

What do we use your information for?

  • To provide basic functionality of Zhabbler. You can interact with other people's content and post your own content only when you are logged in.
  • To assist community moderation, for example, by comparing your IP address to other known addresses to identify block evasions or other violations.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. We use cookies to save your session, the language you are using and some settings.

Do we disclose any information to third parties?

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who help us operate our site or serve you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also disclose your information if we believe release is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.
